London Christmas Fayres

We know that it is still November and that Christmas feels like a long way away, but it is in fact only 5 weeks away!  In the immortal words of Dad’s Army … “Don’t Panic!” (well not just yet anyway!).

It is that time of year, the lull before the storm, where there still feels like plenty of time to get ‘stuff done’ before we find ourselves headlong in the festive season.  Well, get ready and use this time wisely!  Before you know it, there will be a matter of days before the Big Day and if you are anything like some of us at the 3D Space Team, you will be running around thinking ‘what on earth do I get …’.

So … We have done some digging around for you and come up with a ‘Top 3’ list of the biggest and best Christmas Fayres / Markets in London which will have lots and lots of different opportunities to stock up on your presents whilst having a nice time maybe taking in some good food and a warming glass of Gluhwein.

3    Leicester Square Market

This market is brand new for 2016 and could not be more central or accessible.  With tube access within a couple of minutes at Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.  There will be a traditional Christmas market, Santa’s Grotto and also numerous Christmas Shows. Entry is free but free tickets are required for the shows and the Grotto.

2    Southbank Centre Winter Festival

With a great location, lots of restaurants and bars, space to mill about and enjoy the atmosphere, the Southbank Centre Winter Festival is a favourite. There are shows to enjoy, shopping to do and even a roller disco … what’s there not to love?!

1    Hyde Park Winterland

This is the ‘Daddy’ of all the Christmas Fayres / Markets in London located in a large section of Hyde Park.  It has rides, shopping galore, an enormous ice rink, 2 circuses (not one, but two!), ‘magical’ Ice Kingdom and themed bars for the grown up’s (who are going to need a bit of fortification if they take the young ones here!).

We hope this little list proves useful and if you do get to go along to one or more of these you have a great time!
