Big Items can be separated with blankets, cushions or bubble wrap. Major pieces can be taken apart, keeping all screws and fittings in a bag taped to the furniture.
Small Items are best stored in small stackable, space saving boxes.
China / Glass is best stored in bubble wrap (available from 3D Sapce), and plates and saucers are best stored on their edge.
Books are best stored on their sides and in smaller boxes to stop the boxes from becoming too heavy.
Clothing / Linin are best stored when clean, and can be stored in drawers, boxes or suitcases. Some clothes and all curtains will be better if hung, and wardrobe boxes are available from Red Devil Storage.
Electrical / Electronic goods are best stored in their original boxes if possible, but if not, wrap them in bubble wrap before putting into a box.
Cookers should be clean before going into storage.
Helpful Tips For Storage
Make sure all boxes are full, otherwise they may collapse when stacked
Number and label boxes and make a list for easy reference
In larger units, create a passageway in order to maintain full access to items you have stored at the back
A small space between your goods and the walls of the units will aid with ventilation
If you know you will be needing any items whilst in storage, leave them close to the door
Store all important documents in a single location so you know where to find them
